Broadway By The Bay was honored to have Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown join us with a visit to our YTC cast of his Broadway hit 13 The Musical. On Saturday, July 24, 2010, he lead a Masterclass which was informative, tintalating and educational. On Saturday evening, he brought the house down with his one man concert. We thank him for coming and look forward to having him back up here again soon.

From Jason Robert Brown’s Blog:
Broadway By The Bay invited me up last weekend to meet the cast of their upcoming production of “13″ and to do a concert and masterclass at the Bayside Performing Arts Center in San Mateo. The masterclass was a lot of fun; six really talented singers (including Riley Costello from the Broadway cast of 13!) doing some beautiful work. And then about 400 people showed up for the concert that night, which was my first concert in the San Francisco area (and it was apparently a big hit with the locals).
Thanks so much to Jim Gardia and Joe Duffy and all the folks at BBB for bringing me out to the Bay Area. I got to see a lot of old friends I haven’t seen in years, and I had a blast working with the BBB folk. I’ll try to get back there soon!
