Academy Conservatory

Monday – Friday  |  9am – 4pm

Conservatory is designed to give students an intensive theatrical training at a professional caliber. To achieve this, we offer challenging classes, taught by career professionals, that cover comprehensive techniques brought from the top theater schools around the globe.  Our curriculum hones individuals into artists, with classes focused on growth and advancement; putting students high above benchmark when auditioning for competitive college programs and professional pursuits.   

Conservatory is a six week instructional program, culminating in a week of showcase and celebration!  The process provides a flexible curriculum that can be tailored to each participant to and their individual potential.

If you are unable to attend all six weeks,  we offer two prorated session opportunities:

  • Weeks 1 – 3 (June 18 – July 6) – Enrollment Closed
  • Week 3 only (June 2 – 6) – $400.00
  • Weeks 4 – 6 (July 9 – 26) – $1,200.00


Week 3: Broadway by The Bay’s Masterclass Series

July 2 – 6: Broadway By The Bay’s Masterclass Series offers a fresh, engaging, and inclusive approach to workshop education. Participants can enroll in a variety of masterclasses led by career professionals from a variety of theatrical disciplines to hone technique or experience something completely new. Diversify your skills and passions through exposure to exciting masterclasses in Stage Combat, Monologues, Shakespeare, Voiceovers, Improvisation, Audition Workshop, Vocal Technique and Musicianship, The Power of Stage Makeup, Headshot & Resume Preparation, Accents and Dialects, Puppetry, and many more!  Note:  There is no class on July 4th.

Week 4 & 5: Conservatory "Deep Dive" Courses

July 9 – 20: In this next sequence of the Conservatory, students dive deep into their chosen track.  Our skillfully designed Deep Dive courses become more specialized, giving participants the opportunity to hone in on those skills they choose to cultivate. These smaller and more focused classes offer more individualized attention as students prepare for the culminating showcase performances.

Week 6 (Mon - Thurs only): Culminating Events!

July 23 – 26:  Our final week prepares our artists for their culminating performances! In addition to their own performance preparation, students will also learn how to give constructive feedback as observers to their peers. Performance Showcases will be Mon & Wed evening at 7pm.  On Tuesday, Students will participate in a mock-audition panel where they will have the opportunity to perform for local casting directors and receive feedback and guidance on their audition pieces.  Our closing day and party is Thursday, July 26th.

Special Events!

In addition to our regular curriculum classes, we will have a number of special events, including:

Play in a Day

Collaborate with your classmates to write, direct and perform a full play – in one day!  Students will receive guidance from our staff as they combine all of the elements to create an original piece!

Friday Night Lock In

We will have an overnight “lock-in”!  We’ll have activities through the evening and spend the night on the Fox Theatre stage!  Dinner and a light breakfast will be provided.

Behind the Scenes @ BBBay

Conservatory runs concurrently with two Broadway by the Bay main-stage productions, and Conservatory students have an all-access pass!  We offer unique opportunities to go inside the production process and learn first-hand what it takes to create professional-level musicals on the Fox Theatre stage!   Students can attend open rehearsals, special Q&A sessions with cast and staff, and participate in internship opportunities!

Join the Crew!

Conservatory students will help to inspire the next generation of artists!  Students will serve as designers, crew and staff to support the showcase performances of our younger TAA members!
