Dear Broadway by the Bay community:

In order to ensure the health and welfare of our patrons and community-at-large, we have made the truly difficult decision to cancel the full run of The Sound of Music.  As you can imagine, this is a huge disappointment to all of us but public health and safety are the most important factors to consider.

This crisis is having a paralyzing effect on our greater Bay Area arts community, and will have a drastic direct impact on our organization.  This cancellation affects our actors, musicians, designers and staff. If you hold tickets for The Sound of Music, we ask you to donate the value of your tickets back to us for a tax-deductible receipt.  If you would like to discuss other options, please contact our box office via email at boxoffice@broadwaybythebay.org.

If possible, we humbly ask you to make a larger donation if you are able.   Donations can be made securely online using the link below.

As we assess what the future holds for us, we would like to share with you some photos from our final dress rehearsal of The Sound of Music. It is our hope to be able to share elements of the production with you electronically at a future date.

We are living through unprecedented circumstances as a human community.  May we all lift each other up, move through this with grace and empathy, and find ways to remain connected during this period of social distancing.  Please, check on those you love, reach out to those who may live in isolation, and lend whatever support you can to those who may need it.
